Food Safety – FDA can’t trace tainted foods

I watched a very interesting video on PBS News Hour on how the US is unable to track tainted food. The FDA takes far too long in their attempts to track the contaminated food that could cause salmonella poisoning and other terrible illnesses. Obama has taken steps to appoint a new FDA director with hopes of improving the process. We rely on the FDA to protect us and they’ve been consistently coming up short. • I put a link to this page on our website under the “Retail Benefits” tab, “Finding Small Farms” the link is underlined as “consumers seeking safe ethically-sourced products”.

I presume that you would like the web traffic but if it a problem, please let me know via the email provided and I will remove the hotlink. Thanks for posting that video on Twitter. Very interesting indeed…
